BEESPOKE

The bigger picture · in the making

More than mending. A hive in the making.

The needle pays the bills — but BeeSpoke is becoming more than a repair shop. Around the craft we're growing a creative hub: workshops to learn in, an upcycling lab, and a place for the town to gather. Here's where it's heading.

The Buzz Academy · Workshops

Learn a craft. Switch off.

Slow, hands-on workshops where you make something and the noise of the day goes quiet — taught in good company, all levels welcome.

Sewing & mending
Jewellery-making
Collage & paper
Drawing
Music — violin & piano

Dates open seasonally and places stay small — tell us what you'd love to learn and we'll let you know when the next strand opens.

BeeSpoke Lab · Upcycling

Salvage in. One-of-a-kind out.

Rescued cloth — worn denim, orphaned silk, mill offcuts — unpicked and rebuilt into own-label pieces that exist exactly once. Nothing is discarded; everything is transformed.

Reworked denim

Worn-out jeans unpicked and rebuilt into one-off jackets and bags.

Re-edged silk & wool

Orphaned scarves and off-season cloth, brought back from the bin.

Salvaged-cloth pieces

Offcuts and deadstock, cut to a clean shape and made to last.

Not a shop window yet — each piece is reserved or enquired about in store, so you can hold it and ask where the cloth came from. Enquire about a piece →

The social fabric · Community

More than a shop — a meeting place.

Value here isn't only money — it's shared knowledge. A safe haven behind the high street where people come to mend, make and meet.

Teach a skill

If you can show it — a stitch, a song, a language — the table is yours.

Lend a hand

Volunteer your time and learn the craft as you go.

Show your work

Local makers, bring your art — there's a shelf and a window for it.

THE HIVE

everyone works for the common good
